Webhooks & polling
Today most integrations poll by task id or mirror status into their own database. Webhooks are on the roadmap—architect agents to tolerate duplicate and out-of-order notifications.
Polling patterns
Exponential backoff reduces load during quiet periods. Cap maximum interval so stuck tasks are still observed. Correlate polls with agentUserId when you fan out many agents.
Future webhooks
When delivery ships, plan for:
- HMAC or mTLS verification of sender.
- At-least-once delivery with event ids for deduplication.
- Fast 2xx acknowledgement plus async processing in your worker.
